Two weather warnings are in effect across the region.
A status yellow rainfall warning for Connacht will last until 9pm tonight, with Met Eireann warning that heavy rain will lead to some river flooding and localised surface flooding.
A status yellow wind warning is also in effect nationwide, with a warning that southerly winds will gust to 110 km/h, possibly higher on exposed coasts, and where winds are onshore, there's a risk of coastal flooding.
The wind warning will be in place until 6pm this evening.
