Just Eat, a food ordering and delivery service company, today confirmed that drone delivery will now be available to customers in Oranmore, Co. Galway. Powered by Manna, the world’s first aviation-grade B2B drone delivery ‘as-a-service’ platform, and served-up in partnership with Camile Thai, the drone takeaway delivery service is set to go live for the first time ever on the Just Eat app from today.
Dropped straight to the designated delivery point in under 3-minutes, this aerial twist on the traditional Just Eat takeaway experience gives customers in Oranmore a reason to look-up while they’re locked-down as Just Eat deliveries take to the skies. Customers will select their dishes on the dedicated Camile Thai drone delivery menu page on the Just Eat app, which will be available from 4pm– 8pm, Thursday – Sunday.
The introduction of this innovative delivery technology will be a first for the Just Eat Takeaway.com platform.
Commenting on the launch of this new drone delivery option, Just Eat Managing Director Amanda Roche-Kelly told Midwest News , "We’re thrilled to see this exciting partnership with Manna get off the ground and delighted that our Camile Thai customers in Oranmore will be the first to enjoy this new delivery option right to their door. It’s a real success story for technology in the takeaway food industry in Ireland, one that has continued to show its resilience and innovation in the face of all the challenges it has experienced over the past year. As a business we are always working to introduce innovative new technologies that will support our partners’ efforts to meet our customers’ needs, so we’re hopeful that this partnership with Manna will give us the opportunity to give more customers the option of drone takeaway food delivery over the coming months.”
