The Government is hoping final plans for this year's Leaving Cert can be agreed this afternoon.
The Cabinet sub-committee on education is due to be updated on the process by the Education Minister Norma Foley.
Castlerea-based GP Dr Madeleine Ní Dhálaigh is a member of the Irish Medical Organisation's GP committee, and the parent of a leaving cert student.
She says the uncertainty is affecting pupils' mental health....
