A local councillor is calling for swift action to be taken with regards to addressing road safety concerns in Kilmaine village.
Fianna Fail's Damien Ryan has called on Mayo County Council to solve the exit from Kilmaine Community Grounds and connectivity to the village as he says it appears to be falling on deaf ears with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and has been on the agenda for far too long.
Cllr. Ryan raised his concerns once again at a recent meeting of the Claremorris/Swinford Municipal District and is keen to get the project moving in the right direction.
He has been giving more details to Midwest News.
