Funding of 172,500 euro was approved this afternoon for the development of the Ballinrobe Civic Arts and Community Centre.
The ambitious community project will be located in the former Valkenburg Hotel in Ballinrobe town centre.
The Local Leader group approved the funding this afternoon, which represents 75 percent of the 230,000 euro project.
Local Fianna Fail cllr Damien Ryan spoke to Midwest News this evening about the development.
