202 people are being treated in ICU this afternoon with Covid 19, the highest figure to date.
However the number of people in hospital with the virus has decreased for the first time since Christmas day.
1,954 are being treated in wards.
Across the region there are 129 patients with the virus at Galway University hospital- down 2, 97 in Mayo University Hospital- down one, 38 in Sligo- down one and 10 at the Portiuncula- down two.
There are 11 patients with the virus on critical care beds in Galway, 2 each in Sligo and the Portiuncula and in 1 Mayo University Hospital.
Environment Minister, Eamon Ryan, is hoping the virus figures could slowly be moving in the right direction.
