Irish Water, working in partnership with Mayo County Council, is progressing with essential works to enhance the drinking water supply for homes and businesses in Foxford.
The works are being carried out in accordance with the current Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions.
The works involve upgrading the water treatment processes at the plant, which will significantly improve the quality and security of water supply to residents and businesses.
These upgrades are underway and are due to be completed in the second quarter of this year.
Local Councillor Neil Cruise says he has pushing for this work to be done over the last few years.
