100 new jobs have been announced this morning for Galway city.
Tech company Genesys - a global leader in cloud customer experience and contact centre solutions - has announced it's creating 100 new software jobs, as it expands its workforce in Galway.
The company first set up in Galway in 2018 when it acquired local start-up Altocloud, and as a result of growth since then, Genesys is relocating to a larger location in the Bonham Quay development in the city later this year.
IDA Ireland says today's announcement by Genesys demonstrates the company's confidence in the quality and availability of a highly-talented and skilled workforce in Ireland.
Galway-based Senator Séan Kyne told Midwest News this morning that, "at a very difficult time for our country, the confirmation that tech company Genesys is expanding in Galway and creating 100 new jobs is hugely positive".
He says it's a signal of confidence in Galway city and county, the local ICT sector, higher education institutes such as GMIT and NUIG, and most significantly, in the workforce in Galway.
