Details

The water supply is currently off for a number of homes in the Foxford area this afternoon.

The outage was caused by a burst to a water main earlier today.

It occurred at the Chapel Road area of the town.

Mayo County Council water restoration crews working on behalf of Irish Water are in attendance and water will be off in Foxford town & Belass until around 6pm this evening.

Full water supply may take 1-2 hours after that to return as water refills the network but it is important to continue following HSE guidance on hand-washing.
