The Cabinet sub-committee on Covid-19 will meet this evening to finalise plans to exit level five Covid restrictions next week, ahead of a full Cabinet meeting and subsequent announcement tomorrow.
It's believed shops, gyms and hairdressers will be the first to reopen, with restaurants and hotels expected to follow.
However, discussions are continuing in relation to when restaurants and gastro pubs might reopen, and what guidelines might need to be issued to allow for indoor dining.
6 further deaths from Covid-19 were reported yesterday evening, with 269 new cases.
The cases are spread across 22 different counties, with 88 in Dublin.
In this region, there were 6 new cases in Mayo, less than 5 in Galway and no new cases reported in Roscommon, Sligo or Leitrim.
Roscommon's 14-day incidence rate of the virus is still above the national average.
The incidence rate nationally is now at 105 per 100,000 people - down from 119 this time last week, while in Roscommon it's at 128 per 100,000 people.
Mayo's rate is now 85, with lower rates in Sligo, Galway and Leitrim.
