Government ministers will meet this morning to discuss exiting Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions.
There were an additional 252 confirmed cases of Covid 19 confirmed yesterday and no new deaths.
88 of the cases are in Dublin, 26 in Cork, 21 in Kilkenny, and 16 each in Mayo and Louth, with 85 spread across another 20 counties.
Elsewhere across Connacht, there were 5 new cases in both Galway and Sligo and less than five in Roscommon and Leitrim.
The national 14 day incidence rate is estimated to be 108 cases per 100 thousand, however both Donegal discuss exiting Level and Louth have rates of over 200.
NPHET will meet tomorrow and is expected to be cautious in it's approach to re-opening the country.
The Government would prefer to move directly to level three, with a decision expected on Thursday or Friday.
