A special Mass of Remembrance will take place in Knock Shrine tomorrow for all who have died from Covid-19 during this year across the island of Ireland.
Archbishop Michael Neary will celebrate the Mass at 12 noon, which will be live streamed on knockshrine.ie
Candles will be lit in the Basilica representing each individual who has died from Covid-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic in March.
In addition, Archbishop Michael Neary has issued a pastoral letter this weekend in which he refers to the more challenging aspects of Covid 19, but also says the current situation brings out the best in people.
Speaking with Midwest News, Archbishop Neary praised the teams of volunteers who helped to clean and sanitise Churches when they were open for Masses during the late Summer, and said he hopes Church can reopen when restrictions are lifted in early December.
