330 new cases of Covid 19 were confirmed in the Republic last night, including 99 in Dublin.
There were 15 new cases confirmed in Mayo, 8 in Sligo, 6 in Galway and less than 5 in Co Roscommon.
The national 14-day incidence rate is now at 113 per 100,000 people - Roscommon remains the only county in Connacht with a rate higher than the national average at 159.
Meanwhile, the Taoiseach says a Covid 19 vaccine could be a wonderful Christmas present but we need to keep the virus under pressure for now.
Michéal Martin says there could be authorisation from EU and US regulatory authorities for a vaccine by the second half of December.
In the meantime, he's urging people to "double-down" on their efforts to suppress the virus.
