The number of people with Covid-19 in hospitals across the country has reached its highest level since May.

There are 344 people with the virus being treated in hospitals today, an increase of 25 on the last count, which stood at 319, according to the Department of Health.

While it is the highest figure since May 20th, it is significantly lower than the peak of 881 in mid April.

The latest figures show there are also 39 patients with Covid-19 in intensive care units.

This is also the highest number of people in ICU since 29 May, but is far below the peak of 155 reached in mid-April.
