A Roscommon senator believes it was a grave mistake allowing GAA inter-county games to go ahead over the weekend, and is calling on the GAA - even at this stage- to postpone matches for a number of weeks.

While not taking from Roscommon's win at the weekend in the National Football League,  Senator Eugene Murphy says Covid-19 is out of control, with numbers increasing every day, and he's appealing to the GAA to postponed inter-county matches for a number of weeks - irrespective of what further restrictions are announced by the Government later today.

The Fianna Fail Senator fears we will see the knock-on effects of allowing these games to go ahead in a few weeks time, and does not believe the weekend matches should have gone ahead....
