Repairs are currently being carried out to a burst watermain in Roscommon to restore water supply to approximately 300 customers in Mount Delvin, Cloonfad and surrounding areas.

Irish Water expects the repair works to be completed by 2pm today and it may take two to three hours for normal supply to return to all affected customers.

Irish Water and Roscommon County Council are continuing to work with contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of both staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of critical drinking water and wastewater services.

They are also reminding people to follow the HSE COVID-19 advice and ensure frequent handwashing.
