Ryanair is cutting its flight schedule by 80% this Winter at Ireland West Airport Knock.
The airline announced today that they're closing their bases at both Shannon and Cork airports this Winter, due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19, while the news for Knock Airport has been described by management as "a devastating blow".
Ryanair will operate just 7 weekly services from Ireland West Airport this winter.
Today's announcement will see the cessation of 3 routes from Knock to Bristol, East Midlands and Malaga, with significant reductions on remaining services to London Stansted, Luton and Liverpool.
Ireland West Airport says the announcement will have a devastating impact on air travel services to and from the West of Ireland, and will have a major impact on business and jobs, at the airport and in the wider region.
