People are being asked to limit their contacts to one other household at a time to help contain rising Covid-19 cases.


Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ronan Glynn, says the situation nationally's now a "matter of serious concern".


Yesterday saw the highest daily number of coronavirus cases recorded since the end of April, at 470.


There were 11 new cases in Galway and 10 in Roscommon.


Professor in Immunology at Trinity College Dublin, Rachel McLoughlin, says the whole country needs to work together to reduce infection rates.
