The Tanaiste is restricting his movements after coming into close contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19.

Leo Varadkar says he was informed yesterday, but a subsequent test has come back as negative for the virus.

However he'll now be restricting his movements to working from home and outdoor exercise in line with public health advice.

In a statement, he says he feels fine and there are no implications for anyone who has been in close contact with him.

It comes as Finance Minister Paschal Donohue is also restricting his movements, after another member of the Eurogroup of Finance Ministers tested positive for Covid-19.
