Publicans across this region are busy getting ready to re-open on Monday next, after more than 6 months in lockdown due to the pandemic.
However, one Castlebar publican, managed to re-open the door of his premises earlier this week, and is now opening it earlier than ever – as he decided to offer breakfast service from 9am.
Pat Moran of Bucko’s Bar and Restaurant on Linenhall street in the county town, had been running Bucko’s as a wet pub having leased it just over a year before the lockdown hit, and was almost ready to introduce food when the pandemic changed everything.
But determined to get back to business and now employing up to ten staff, Pat managed to get his food business underway and his doors are open again since last Monday.
He’s been speaking to Midwest News today about being able to get the doors open again and getting back to business.
