The National Public Health Emergency Team has warned the number of Covid 19 cases is rising rapidly in many parts of the country - not just Dublin.

Health officials will meet today to discuss if the county should be put at level 3 of restrictions.

They've also noticed concerning trends of the virus in Louth, Waterford and Donegal.

A further 3 people with Covid 19 have died and there are 254 new cases, including 136 in Dublin.

There are six new cases in Galway and there are also new confirmed cases in counties Mayo, Roscommon and Leitrim.
