Publicans across Galway are protesting outside the offices of Government representatives in the county on Mondays from today.

It’s over the continued closure of so called ‘wet pubs’ and the absence of provisions to allow the sector to reopen.

Failte Ireland shared draft regulations with stakeholders across the sector over the weekend, which outlines the steps publicans will need to take to eventually reopen.

Cllr Joe Sheridan told Midwest News that he believes the draft regulations don’t make sense.
