Mayo is among the counties in which new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed yesterday evening.
While there were no Covid-related deaths reported once again yesterday, 95 new cases were confirmed - of which 51 were in Dublin, 6 in Kildare, 6 in Meath and the remaining 32 cases were spread across 16 counties, including Mayo.
The latest county by county breakdown which was last updated on Tuesday shows Mayo on 588 confirmed cases of the virus, with Galway on 517, Roscommon 364, Sligo 157 and Leitrim 86.
Meanwhile, the Irish Patients' Association says health officials need to urgently investigate why so many people aren't turning up for their Covid-19 tests.
Yesterday, the HSE said up to a quarter of appointments at some of its centres weren't being kept - which equates to about 1,000 tests were day.
Stephen McMahon from the Irish Patients' Association says all the no-shows could add up to scores of missed cases.
