A mother and child from Sligo who have died following a road traffic collision almost two weeks ago will be laid to rest on Thursday.
The family from Geevagh in County Sligo were killed in the crash on the 19th of August near Dundalk.
Krista Rowan and her baby Ree, from Annagh Lodge, in Geevagh, and late of Ontario in Canada, died at the Beaumont Hospital in Dublin on Saturday last.
The single-vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the M1 northbound between junctions 16 and 17, just after 11am on Wednesday the 19th of August.
Krista, who was in her 30s, was a medical device sales representative with Boston Scientific.
Following the accident, she was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with serious injuries.
She will repose at Annagh Lodge in Geevagh from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday afternoon.
A Celebration of Life for the repose of their souls will be held in Markree Castle on Friday at 3pm.
Cremation will take place in Dublin on Saturday.
Due to current restrictions the funeral, reposing and cremation are private for family and friends.
