Senators have been awarded expenses for April and May this year, despite the Seanad being closed over the period.
Sittings were delayed for 90 days after the March election due to Covid-19 and until a new Taoiseach was elected.
However the Irish Independent reports 120,000 euro was divided among 48 senators over the subsequent two month period, averaging at 4,000 each - on top of their average salary of over €68,000.
The list shows Mayo-based Senators Lisa Chambers received €6,626 in expenses over April and May, and Paddy Burke received €6,515.
Senators are paid the Parliamentary Standard Allowance to defray constituency costs, mileage, vehicle wear and tear, subsistence and hotel bills.
