An expert is concerned we may be seeing a second wave of coronavirus as it appears the underlying rate of covid is rising.


2 more people with COVID-19 have died and there are 21 new confirmed cases of the virus here.


It comes after Friday saw 34 new people testing positive for the virus - the highest number in over a month.


As of midnight on Thursday there was one new case in Leitrim and the rest of Connaught remains unchanged leaving 573 in Mayo, 489 in Galway, 346 in Roscommon, 148 in Sligo and 83 in Leitrim.
