UNITE has warned driving instructors and their students could be at risk of Covid-19 if the government doesn't implement safety guidelines for them.

The trade union which represents instructors says there are potentially 20,000 interactions between drivers and students every day.

Last month, the RSA  provided guidance to driving instructors at test centres but not during lessons.

Instructors have now called on the Transport Minister to consult with them on developing safety protocols for their sector.
