The man charged with the murder of Detective Garda Colm Horkan is due to appear via video-link before Harristown District Court today.

Stephen Silver, a native of Co. Roscommon with an address at Aughaward, Foxford, was deemed unfit to attend a court sitting in Castlerea two weeks ago.

Documentation received by the court from the Central Mental Hospital in Dublin revealed the accused was receiving medical attention.
