There's going to be more stormy weather again today.

Met Eireann has issue a weather advisory to last from 6am to 11 o'clock tonight.

Western counties were worst hit by the thunderstorms yesterday, which saw thousands of people experience electricity outages. The service has generally been restored this morning, however, 75 households in Collooney, county Sligo are without electricity since 7am today due to a fault, and the service is expected to be restored about 11am.

Up to nine cows were killed in a lightning strike in Co Clare yesterday.

The bad spell of weather is forecast to head eastwards today, but Deirdre Lowe from Met Eireann said it's not possible to predict exactly where the worst affected areas will be.
