Mayo County Council is still working and maintaining their normal services to assist people across the region, even if their offices are closed to the public in line with HSE and Government guidelines.

That was the message from the Chief Executive of Mayo County Council Peter Hynes today , when he complimented Midwest Radio and other local media for their services during the pandemic.

Mr Hynes says that the role of Midwest Radio and other local media will become more important in the coming weeks as Ireland deals with the current situation.

Speaking to Midwest todau he reassured the public that the County Council’s 400 staff are working to keep their office work and emergency helpline operating.
