Counting will resume today in the Seanad elections, after three Fianna Fail candidates were elected to the Seanad last night through the agricultural panel.

Paul Daly, Niall Blaney and Denis O'Donovan all exceeded the quota as well as Independent Victor Boyhan.

Eleven candidates will be elected to this panel, with the quota at over 94,000.

Former Roscommon-Galway Fianna Fail TD Eugene Murphy would appear to be well-placed to take a seat - he's at 91,165 votes, while outgoing Mayo Senator Paddy Burke is on 90,000 and Mayo SF Councillor Gerry Murray is on 73,000.
