The Air Accident Investigation Unit has this evening published a third interim on the progress of the investigation into the crash of the Coast Guard Rescue 116 helicopter off the north Mayo coast.
The crash claimed the lives of four Coastguard members - and two of the bodies have never been found.
The tragedy occurred at Black Rock on 14th March 2017 - three years ago this weekend.
The interim statement outlines that a Draft Final Report on the accident investigation was issued in confidence to interested parties last September.
One party sent a notice of re-examination regarding certain findings, and the Minister for Transport said he would appoint a Review board to carry out the re-examination requested.
The Air Accident Investigation Unit was informed on Monday of this week that a Review Board has been appointed to re-examine the specific findings of the draft final report into the R116 accident.
