Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit two bars and a GAA club in Galway on the final day of their visit to Ireland.

William and Kate are starting their day in Tribeton, a bar filled with the work of local craftsmen.

Following that they will visit Tig Chóili, a pub famous for its twice daily trad sessions.

Salthill Knocknacarra GAA club will be the final stop of the trip, where local players will be demonstrating their skills.

Mayor of Galway Mike Cubbard say there was disappointment a few weeks ago when the opening ceremony of the European Capital Culture had to be cancelled due to a storm.

Mayor Cubbard says today's event puts the city on the world map with over 240 international journalists covering the visit.
