The teenager who died in a road collision in Co Galway at the weekend will be laid to rest tomorrow.

16-year old Róisín Hession from Cahergal, Tuam died when the car in which she was a passenger hit a wall in Oughterard at about 1.15am on Sunday morning.

Roisin, a student at the Mercy Convent in Tuam, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the car - a 21 year old man - was seriously injured and was taken to University Hospital Galway.

Roisin Hession was pre-deceased by her mother Mary, and is survived by her father, step-sister, step-brother, and extended family.

Her remains will repose at Burns Funeral Home, Tuam this evening from 6pm with removal at 8 to the Cathedral of the Assumption.

Funeral Mass is at 2pm on Wednesday, followed by burial in Tuam Cemetery.
