Irish mother and baby homes racially profiled mixed raced children and withheld them for adoption.

 

One child's skin colour was also noted as a 'defect' on its file, according to an unpublished report, commissioned by the outgoing Children's Minister.

 

Details seen by the Sunday Independent show children with disabilities and those from the Travelling community were also listed as defective and not readily made available for adoption.
