There have been 29 reported assaults on ambulance staff in the Western region over the past two years.
New details released under the Freedom of Information Act show 20 assaults in 2018 and 9 last year against ambulance staff in the region.
Nationally, there were 51 assaults against ambulance staff while on duty last year.
29 paramedics were physically attacked, while there were 22 verbal attacks on staff as they attended to patients.
