The National Council for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) official opened a new store in Westport, today with the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Michael Ring TD cutting the ribbon.
NCBI has 117 shops across the country and is the second largest charity shop chain in the country.
NCBI’s chain of shops allow the national sight loss agency to provide vital life changing services to over 6,300 people each year, many of whom live in Mayo.
Chris White, NCBI CEO said; “Ahead of Christmas, we urge shoppers to pop in and see what unique gifts they can find but also to feel free to donate any clothes or bric-a-brac when doing a wardrobe clear-out. All donations are gratefully received.”
