Over 600 patients are being treated on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
608 people are waiting for beds, including 57 at Cork University Hospital which is the worst affected facility, according to figures from the INMO.
That's followed by 55 at University Hospital Limerick and 49 at University Hospital Galway.
Elsewhere, there are 20 patients on trolleys at Sligo University Hospital, 19 patients on trolleys at Mayo University Hospital and eleven patients waiting for admission to a bed today at Portiuncula Hospital.
Three of those patients on trolleys at the Ballinasloe based hospital are under 16.
