Students are taking to the streets of Dublin again this lunchtime demanding immediate climate action.
This is the second massive protest planned in Dublin, after over 20,000 people protested over climate change on the 20th of September, saying climate action needs to take place now.
Fridays for Future Mayo, are also holding a climate strike in Castlebar this afternoon.
Brother and sister, Maude and Theo Cullen-Mouze from Clare Island have both been striking outside the County Council every Friday since the beginning of September.
Maude (13) who attends Sancta Maria College in Louisburgh has organised the Castlebar strike.
Theo is attending the Dublin strike, as he is then travelling by ferry and train to the COP 25 UN conference in Madrid as one of two Irish delegates for Fridays for Future.
In addition to the Castlebar strike at the Mall, Coastal Communities for Climate Action are organizing a strike which is underway in Westport until 2pm today at the Octagon.
Speaking outside the County Council offices in Castlebar to our News Editor Teresa O’Malley, Maude Cullen-Mouze says Climate Action is needed now and claims the Government are not doing enough in this regard.
