Solicitors from across the region have gathered in Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar for a legal conference taking place over today and tomorrow.
Over 130 local solicitors are attending the Connaught Solicitors' Symposium, which is organised by the Law Society and Mayo Solicitors' Bar Association.
The annual conference is an opportunity for local solicitors to stay up-to-date with practice changes, such as limited liability partnerships, drafting wills and conveyancing.
This year's conference has a particular focus on smaller practices, and sole practitioners - as smaller law firms in rural Ireland face many unique challenges.
The Law Society launched the Small Practice Support Project earlier this year, which provides special supports for local solicitors and smaller firms.
