A number of Vodafone customers in the Glenamoy and Crossmolina areas of north Mayo say they have no phone service, some for days and others for three weeks now.

Initially some customers were informed that the disruption in service was due to work being undertaken on a mast, but three weeks down the line the service has not been restored and customers are finding it difficult to get any response from the company.

Midwest Radio contacted Vodafone yesterday (Tuesday) to ask what the problem is, and a spokesperson for the company said that any customer experiencing a difficulty with their service in that area at present should contact vodafone directly.
