Another Supercar Spectacle is coming to Mayo later this month, as the ‘Wild West Road Trip’ hits local towns.
With the start line at Crockets on the Quay in Ballina at 10am on Friday the 20th September, the group of over 30 Supercars will make their way along Mayo’s most northerly route taking in the Ceide Fields, Ballycroy National Park onto Achill Island and then onto Castlebar for the finish line about 5pm, all in aid of the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation.
The event is organised by the group Drive 365 which was co-founded in 2017 by Niall Russel and Castlebar native Niamh Hamrock. The group has gone from strength to strength in the last year raising money for various Irish charities with almost 40,000 euro raised over 12 months.
The second of the two day event will take the group up around Sligo and Donegal. Cars on view include Lamborghini’s, Bentley’s, Porsche, Aston Martin, McLaren etc.
This year the event will raise money for Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation.
Martina Jennings CEO of Mayo Roscommon Hospice said: ‘Fundraising efforts, like the Wild West event, are the reason the hospice has been able to build a dedicated Hospice in Mayo, with a new facility in Roscommon to start in the next couple of months.
