The Ambassador of the Korean War Veteran's Memorial Foundation in the US is visiting the Mayo Peace Park in Castlebar today.
Hannah Kim has visited war memorials in a number of countries across the world, to pay respect to those who fought and sacrificed their lives to preserve the freedom of the people of the Republic of Korea.
159 people of Irish descent - including 6 from Mayo - fought in the Korean War in the 1950's as part of the United Nations military, and Hannah Kim is visiting war memorials in Mayo, Dublin and Belfast this week to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
She attended a wreath-laying ceremony this morning at the Mayo Peace Park in Castlebar.
