Natus Medical Incorporated is a US-based firm that already employs almost 150 people in Gort, county Galway, and today opened a new multi million euro distribution centre in the town.
The workforce, travelling to the south Galway town from across the region, looks set to increase with today’s development.
The company provides healthcare products and services used for the screening, detection, treatment, monitoring and tracking of medical conditions.
It has been located at the Gort IDA Business Park for almost 15 years and is one of the biggest employers in the area.
The company’s CEO Jonathan Kennedy today told Midwwest News about the importance of Gort and the quality of the local workforce in the company’s development
Caherlistrane native, Sean Langan is Global Operations Manager with Natus and he described today’s launch as a proud day for the company.
Minister Sean Canney says workers are travelling from Claremorris to Gort daily to work with Natus and he says it’s an excellent example of the value of enticing multi nationals into regional towns.
