A new jury has been sworn in, in the trial of a Mayo man, accused of murdering his baby son.
40 year old John Tighe of Lavallyroe, Ballyhaunis denies murdering his sixth month old son Joshua at his home in June 2013.
Justice Patrick McCarthy discharged the original jury this morning and swore in a new jury, so the trial had to begin again.
The judge explained that the delay caused by last week's weather meant the trial would likely continue to next week and one of the original jurors has a prior commitment.
It's the prosecution's case that Mr Tighe placed a 'bolus' of tissue in his baby son's throat which caused him to asphyxiate.
The trial is continuing at the Central Criminal Court.
