This weekend the Mayo Stages Rally takes place on Achill Island and it has led to some discontent among a small number of listeners who believe that it shouldn't take place on Mother's Day, closing roads and cutting off the chance for people to visit their mother's on certain parts of the island. Trevor O'Connell joined Tommy Marren on Thursday morning to allay any fears and give a run down on the event itself. Listen back to the conversation below. 

Times for road closures on Sunday are as follows -

Saula: 8.30am - 5.40pm

Atlantic Drive: 8.45am- 6pm

The Valley: 9.45am - 6.50pm
