Loyal supporters of the Mayo and Galway senior footballers were up in arms yesterday after the decision to postpone the second round FBD League fixture between the two, moments after throw in was due to take place. The decision was taken to ensure player safety, and fans were given a ticket to attend, free of charge, any subsequent game in the competition involving the two counties. However, that gesture has been ridiculed by many and Connacht GAA Secretary John Prenty joined Tommy Marren this morning to give their side of the story and explain how it all came to pass.
