It is with deep sadness that Martin’s family share the news of his death on Thursday, 28 November 2024, peacefully in the care of the staff of Galway University Hospital and with his dearly loved family by his side.
The family express their heartfelt gratitude to all who provided care and for their compassion, kindness and commitment, which made a significant difference in his life.
Beloved husband of Norrie and much-loved father of Alan, Sharon, Sinead, and Derek.
Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his devoted wife, daughters, and sons, as well as sons-in-law Carl and Matthew, daughter-in-law Fiona, and grandchildren Karoline, Sam, Michelle, Anna, Mary, Hugh, Emily and Bridget.
He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and a large circle of cherished friends who will miss him dearly.
Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway on Monday, December 02 from 5pm until 6:30pm.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Martin on Tuesday, December 03 at 11am at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill.
Following Mass, he will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery.
