Bridget O’Malley nee Carney,
Innisbiggle Post Office, Co. Mayo - peacefully, at the home of her daughter Mary and son-in-law Brian Patten, Shore Road, Saula, Achill in her 97th year, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, 16th November 2024.
Predeceased by her late husband Pat, her sons Michael John and Patrick and her grandson Ciarán, brothers Paddy, Michael and John, sister Celia Ann and daughter in law Tracey.
She will be dearly missed by her son Joe, daughters Mary and Celia, sister Nora and brother Gerald, daughters-in-law Yvonne and Ann, sons-in-law Brian and Tommy, grandchildren Deirdre, Brián, Gráinne, Patrick, Joanne, Seán, Thomas, Aoife, Conor, Suzie, Joseph, Michael and Padraic and her cherished greatgrandchildren Aifric, Rían, Mara, Caelan, and Ceola. She will also be fondly missed by all her extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing in Lavelle's Funeral Home, Cashel, Achill (F28 YO H9) on Monday evening 18th November from 5pm until 7pm.
Removal from her residence on Tuesday morning to St Joseph’s, Bunacurry for Funeral Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Bunacurry Cemetery.

A lovely kind lady .Rest in eternal peace.
What an amazing woman, intelligent, gentle, kind, generous and an incredibly strong woman who welcomed everyone. Bridget had many heartfelt tragedies to cope with in her life but carried on. Bridget not only raised her own family but incredibly others too.
I have numerous fond memories of Bridget over the years and the hustle and bustle of the post office. Many years ago, Bridget sending over to myself and a friend who were on Inishbiggle fishing a complete roast dinner!
