Michael Corkery
Sarnaught Lodge, Sarnaught, Castlebar, retired Telecom Éireann staff member and former Mayo GAA goalkeeper - peacefully in his 95th year in the loving care of the staff in the Ross Suite, Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar on the 2nd November 2024.
Predeceased by his parents Catherine and Patrick, brother and sisters and his best friend Michael Neary.
Deeply regretted by his loving family sisters Philomena and Angela, brothers Fr. Eamon, Neilus and Oliver, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Michael will repose at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlebar, F23 XY63 on Tuesday evening (5th November) from 5.30 until 7pm.
Removal on Wednesday morning at 8.45a.m for Requiem Mass at 11am in St. Mel’s Cathedral, Longford.
Michael will be laid to rest afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery.

He was a lovely gentleman to chat with he and Ml Neary would call into the Day hosp to talk with the pts after Mass. Very knowledgeable man on lots of things.
